Bolt on Nov 27: "Global warming isn’t the threat. A cooling planet would be far deadlier"
Bolt today: "Hundreds of Australians would have died in last week’s heatwave if we relied on green power as the Greens demand."
You see, cold is the real killer of the vulnerable and weak - excepting when there's an anti-Green angle to be exploited, in which case it's okay to emphasise that heat is deadly too.

Well - its happened as predicted.
"Man honored (sic) after yelling at 13-year-old girl"
Bolt gets stuck into Adam Goodes, and conveniently ignores all the facts.
What a great tribute to Australia day.

" Well - its happened as predicted." Yes, was fully expecting this. Think of the dreadful existential angst Andrew must be feeling with His Tony presiding over such an award. Oh Lordy, Tonez even seemed quite caught up in the spirit of the occasion. And yes, as expected Bolt wheeled out this: ...Goodes absurdly declared “racism had a face - and it was a 13-year-old girl”. Which, as we've noted here previously, is a stitch-up of Goodes' actual off-the-cuff remarks - see transcript here. www.news.com.au/sport/afl/adam-goodes-full-racism-press-conference-transcript/story-fndv8ujy-1226650424034And, of course the glib, disingenuous headline: Man honored after yelling at 13-year-old girl Nowhere in his rancid post does Bolt provide anything to support that statement. I understand Goodes yelled back at the crowd - as if that's a big deal or in any way out of the ordinary - then was stunned to find it was a 13yo kid. But I'd be the last to suggest that a turd like Bolt should be silenced. No, no, no! Australia needs him as a demonstration of the acuity and speed with which stupidity sucks us into its vortex.

Bolt is now accusing Bill Shorten of raping a 16 yr old girl (by proxy, as I assume comments to his blog are approved).
"Mr Bill Shorten.,. Is it true sir that you are under police investigation involving the rape of a 16 year old girl 20 years ago at a labor camp?...So MR SHORTEN is is true that there is an investigation into a senior labor leader and in fact it is you who are being investigated?"

Come on Jules, this new interface is too much for an old fart like me.
Anyway...
Bolt claims he's "indigenous," and quotes the OLD, conveniently ignoring the whole entry.
"originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native: the indigenous peoples of Siberia, coriander is indigenous to southern Europe."
But do read on.
"Similarly, the terms native or indigenous are often euphemisms for what used to be termed primitive. Discrimination against indigenous pygmies and ethnic minorities is a problem.
Many Western readers deny that there are any such tales of indigenous African provenance."
Bolt is about as indigenous to Australia as possums are to New Zealand.

You've probably seen the eruption of derp on @boltcomments in relation to Bolt's claim of indigeneity. That's to be expected, but I was disappointed to see Michael Mansell's response giving him oxygen.
Ah well, whaddya do, eh? I mean, when the temptation is so acute to respond to someone who reduces complex historical circumstances to parsing a dictionary definition?
The last I looked at Bolt's blog, he had a thing about how The Age "thundered" in (from memory) 2006 against using air conditioning, contrasting that with a recent Age article that "thundered" against denying air conditioning to vulnerable people.
As to the former, you wonder how long he might have trawled The Age website to find an editorial that cooly discussed (as opposed to "thundered") issues of AC usage in the context of an over-stretched electricity grid.
As to the latter, it was physicians and health experts - not The Age - who "thundered" about heat health concerns. And of course they didn't "thunder" at all - they just, you know, gave topical health advice as you'd fully fucking expect.
It's a wondrous thing that someone can be paid handsomely to torture those mundane bits into a deranged narrative about evil faifax / left / totalitarians / barbarians. More wondrous still that people actually buy it.
Ah well, we know only too well about all that. Bolt is the intellectual equivalent of the old man yelling: "Get of my lawn!"

Bolt's been getting a bit of flack recently. Katherine Viner and Michael Mansell (Guardian), Laurie Oakes, Ben Cubby (SMH) who even called him deranged (which Andrew would never call anyone. Wait, (checking) - oh well only around a dozen times! But I was right and they were like just SO totally deranged man.)
And then, horror-of-horrors, an editorial in The Australian!
Of course he's always right and the others are being just plain unfair or evil or leftist (like Abbott) or something nasty.
It's not that Bolt's paranoid, it's just that everyone is out to get him!

Bolt is the intellectual equivalent of the old man yelling: "Get of my lawn!" I beg to differ. By my judgement, Bolt is the intellectual equivalent of a Hills Hoist.

Because it was conceived and produced here, the Hills Hoist is truly indigenous. It grew here, unlike those that "flew" here (even in a foetal state).

There should be a preamble on the Bolter's blog, words to the effect: 'Andrew Bolt spruiks hard for the Liberal Party of Australia, in particular for factions of that party backed by monied and powerful business interests. 'Truth be told, he couldn't give a flying fuck for Australia or Australians, but is paid extremely well to obfuscate, reduce nuanced complexity, and generally mislead his unwitting Sea Monkey readership on behalf of his paymasters and favoured sponsors. 'According to him, the Bolter's Blog is Australia's most read political blog. This is indeed possible, considering the electorate's decision to elect Tony and his bought and paid for Government.' The Bolter's defence of Tony and his ideologues regarding the refusal of the CW to sling SPC a life buoy is a case in point. Shepparton and surrounds will suffer- yes suffer- when SPC closes the gates. But the Bolter flings shit at Sharman Stone for her apparent 'disloyal' act of attempting to look after the interests of her constituents rather than toeing the party line. Links are: - For the Bolter's blog post: blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/sharman_stone_owes_abbott_a_sorry_for_this_verballing/- For the story from The Age that prompted that post: - www.theage.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/spc-rejects-government-claims-issues-the-facts-on-workers-allowances-20140204-31ynj.html-For a non News Corp/ Fairfax perspective: - www.macrobusiness.com.au/2014/02/spc-needs-pragmatic-assistance/And there's plenty more if you could be bothered to look for indications that decisions made by the current CW government are not quite right on their 'no subsidies for industry' policies. The Bolter is a whore. And I don't mean this in a nice way.

Bolt = boring. And past his sell-by date.
Blah Blah = ABC - blah blah, - Greenies = blah blah = climate change liars!, and blah, blah = Lefties, and blah blah = labor!, blah blah = and Academics (burn them all)! and blah - blah uppity blacks, and blah blah - fellow traitorous travellers and Abbott-deniers, Sharman Stone and Malcolm Turnface for two - blah blah; and now Putin!
I would have thought Bolt was right on chorus with Putin. A far-right strong leader defending his right to lead. Bugger the protesters.
Next he'll be criticising Wilders.
How come he's worth a six-or-more-000.000 figure?
I don't think he's worth it. A stuck record wins no new sales.

Angra-
You wonder how '... he's worth a six-or-more-000.000 figure?' Look, i'm sure he gets paid plenty, but has the Bolter really become the Six Million Dollar Man?
You also reckon that you '...don't think he's worth it. A stuck record wins no new sales.' The Bolter's niche within the News Corp Empire is to wrangle the feral bogans that may defect to Clive Palmer's 'United Australia Party' or the 'Katter Action Party'. Don't forget that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
The Bolter helps shore up the base of the LPA.
The Bolter is one of the less subtle of Murdoch's propagandists. But when compared with the fat toad Akerman or ex horoscope writing liar Devine the cunt is a literary sensation.
Don't misunderstand this as praise.
From time to time the Bolter does a bit of freestyling. Recent criticisms of the PM are indicators of this tendency. It would probably be wrong to construe these as revealing as to what he really thinks- the Bolter is a very secretive individual- but an interpretation that he is demanding attention would probably be not far of the mark.
It's not difficult to understand why you have become bored with this board; 1,376 posts addressed to a readership of maybe a dozen people and an especially literate dog could seem like a massive waste of time.
Maybe it was; but I read most of your posts along with MoC's and Jack's and all the other contributors to this under perused blog and was thankful that others were angered by the Murdochracy enough to tap out a few caustic comments.

Richard - I think I got my noughts mixed up. Bolt is reputed to rake in around a million p.a. from various sources (including Gina). And I didn't realise that Devine used to write horoscopes (horrorscopes?) Yes Bolt plays to his audience of bogans and rascists, but I don't think he has many new readers, just the same old same old - like rusted on Catholics who go to church every Sunday out of habit.
And you can add a few others to the list of Murdoch/LP toadies of no literary merit - Albrechtsen and Henderson come to mind. Nice to see Murdoch's messy marriage having some light shed on it (see Crikey and Vanity Fair). What goes around comes around! And the UK court case carries on and heads will roll, although whether this will reach Murdoch before he topples off the perch is yet to be seen.

Well no-one seems to be commenting anymore. What's happened?
Anyway, Bolt is on a roll with his black-bashing today. He really deserves an honorary membership of the order of the hood.
Ray Nagin, Clarence Thomas (well his critics, who were 'of the left'), Shorten 'insulting Aborigines', "Bruvvers", Charlie McAdam (Stolen?), and even DFAT for censoring him! (Damn that Julie Bishop, she wont even let me get stuck into Mooslims).
