He's had four goes at it in the space of a few hours.
"But Abbott’s critics have no appeal at all
Mark Latham shows Abbott what real sexism is like.
Verballing Abbott again
Sex appeal: it’s only bad if Abbott spots it"

Geeze. It's not great to be agreeing with bolt AGAIN, but I think some people do need to get a grip about this "sex appeal" thing.
I think the most appalling contribution so far has been latham's. Wow. What on earth was he thinking? That was just nasty.
That said, if bolter wants to see some fine examples of the sort of failings he sees in tony's critics, he ought to try reading his own work over recent years.

It's amazing how quickly the AWU "scandal" dropped off when the target stopped being a political scalp.
I do believe it's been several weeks now since anyone's actually mentioned it.
I can only assume that the victorian fraud squad is still working on it ... otherwise that would be very unfortunate look.

Bloody hell, Independent Australia is alleging an affair between Christopher Pyne and James Ashby. "In a nutshell, our witnesses at the Turtle Table say this person alleged he had a long-term affair with Mr Pyne but was jilted when Mr Pyne met and began an affair with James Ashby. Read that again. The guest, moreover, reportedly alleges that Pyne is “up to his neck” in the Ashbygate affair." They better get lawyered-up. Bob Ellis is on to the story too (not exactly a recommendation.) www.independentaustralia.net/2013/politics/ashbygate-emerging/

A genuinely insane policy. www.abc.net.au/news/2013-08-18/coalition-announce-start-date-of-paid-parental-leave-scheme/4894636It will be reviewed in 15 years time and determined to have been nothing but a vote-buying boondoggle with no economic and social benefits. But hey, if somebody offered to pay me $75k to take 6 months off I'd vote for tony too. 5.5 billion a year. That's nearly the price of the NBN, over the probably life of the next government, and nothing to see for it that wouldn't have happened anyway. At least the NBN gets us fast urban networks. It's more than the entire pink batts fiasco cost in one year alone. The BER was three times at much, but at least that built school-halls. Easily the stupidest policy of the entire election campaign. Apart from maybe kev's northern-trade-zone thought bubble. And every couple who wants some free money while they have another kid or two will vote for it. Self-interest says they'd be insane not to, and they'll all convince themselves that it's not just a massive election hand-out for number 1, that it's really for the good of society. Or something. I'm dying to see if the libs really think they can cap the outgoings on this one. Just wait and see what happens when the tele, hun and 'tiser start writing the same sorts of stories they wrote about the baby bonus. Complete madness - sheer election-buying. And let's all take bets on whether the ALP will try to match it.

Tones announcement of the policy was interesting. He wants women to have more babies (yes that's their true role in life); and middle-income women are those with incomes up to $150,000 p.a. So bugger the poor - they'll only get a measly few thousand. So his aim - to breed more rich Liberal voters by paying the females to celebrate their fecundity. In my days on a dairy farm we used a similar method for the best breeding cows - except we used AI. For the inner-city elites, that's artificial insemination (not a corny Spielberg film). It involves ...well I better not go into the details...but it would be a good option for Abbott. He could have politically-correct (ie. Liberal) sperm banks, and pay his members for their contributions, and then spread the donations amongst the party faithful. Can't fail. Make a donation today! You know it will make a better Australia. The erection we had to have.

I wonder how well Palmer's party will do? His volunteers have just dropped DVD's in to everyone in our town. Mind you it's not exactly riveting. There's Clive Palmer's speech in Canberra, Clive Palmer's speech at the airport, PUP TV ads, plus a bonus Titanic II video!

Jack - yep that's dire. Only to be matched by Craig Emerson's performance on The Hamster Decides last week.

Another suppository of wisdom from Mr Abbott in Darwin this morning (where he did some exercises with the troops).
"If I'm bent over double for the next few days on the campaign, you'll know why."

Bob Ellis is always good for a laugh.
Last week it was Pyne having an affair with Ashby.
Today it's Abbott covering up 'homosexual seductions' while training as a priest.

I wonder how the palmer united party got my email address so that he could send me campaign material?
I'm not particularly fussed, but I'm curious.
