More 'journalists' telling us what to think blogs.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/mirandadevine/index.php/dailytelegraph/comments/their_abc/#123833And Miranda and Andrew make their point by not fully explaining the study/survey they are taking the info from. If most journos are Left leaning, and the small quantity of journos at the ABC that indicated their political persuasion are even more Leftist, what's the good of that if the people who call the shots (senior staff, editors etc) are more Rightist? And if there is a charter (such as the ABC has) to stick to what does it matter what persuasion ,politically speaking, people have? Maybe these right wing nuts haven't thought through their argument thoroughly. Essential polling tells us: Total Trust in Institutions (mar 2013) The ABC 70% +11% change Online News Media 27% -4% change Newspapers. 30%. -1% change essentialvision.com.au/trust-in-institutions-3

"Essential polling tells us"
Wow. Thanks for that link. Those results were a bit surprising. Local councils beat religious organisations AND newspapers. Sheesh.
Political parties aren't doing very well, are they? I guess that's not entirely bad, though - I'm pretty sure jefferson wouldn't have thought that trusting political parties is either necessary or a good thing. I long ago realised that I don't actually have to like the people I'm voting for, just as long as I think they'll do the things that I want to see done.

Was it Jefferson who said Democracy at times needs to be renewed with blood of martyrs? Or words to that effect.
How do think Pell went today?
