Gillards deceit, I'm still not convinced she is deceitful or a lying pants on fire liar. No more than any other politician anyway

The Australian is a disgrace when it claims to be a paper of note. Count the number of anti-Labor/anti-Gillard opinion pieces they have run in the last 100 days. It's running at least 75%.
Just today here are their fine examples of 'journalism' in their Opinion section.
Step up and end the blame game - Albrechtsen
PM's school reform flawed - Donnelly
Endorsing bad ALP policy will cost - Barnes
No right to ridicule suburbs - Snelling
Do you need any more proof that the Oz is a merely a PR outfit for the rightist faction of the Libs? But then I think we knew that all along.

The Coorey article is interesting. I had cottoned on to the fact that Abbott was voted in to back away from Turnbull and the ETS. I had not realized that Gillard had been shoehorned in for a similar role

You noticed that too angra? What are theybgonna write about when Labor are goneski? How about Bolt? It will be like the golden age of Howard. Screw actually leaving your desk and do research to write a story, just copy/paste what the sitting government pronounces and kick the boot in to what's left of the ALP every so often.

The ALP seems determined to cut it's own throat.
Pity really - this Government has achieved a lot - Aged Care reform, Gonski, NDIS, NBN, Superann. increases, ETS, Barrier Reef protection, Tasmanian forests etc. But they've had a fair share of bugger ups as well - most notably on Asylum seekers, Conroy's Internet filter, media regulation.
But the relentless attacks from the hate media seem to have influenced public opinion.
It would be a shame if Gillard lost the PMship because of her own party. She's a damn sight better than Howard. And Abbott as PM? (shudder)

"The ALP seems determined to cut it's own throat"
They're not so much rearranging deck-chairs, as hitting each other with them.
"She's a damn sight better than Howard"
I actually think she's been remarkably effective, given the circumstances. She's apparently had some appallingly bad PR people though, and her party should all just pack up, go home and not come back until they've decided whether their own personal agendas and legacies are more important to them than the ability to actually achieve anything.
I think, in about a decade, there might be enough quiet that anyone who's interested will look back and wonder why gillard was seen as so awful now.

"They're not so much rearranging deck-chairs, as hitting each other with them."
Then rushing down to the bilges to open the sea cocks. (BTW that's a legitimate term)
