OK I spose there have to be some rules, but we'll try and keep them to a minimum. In keeping with PP we'll use the Guardian Online as a general guide. Its here: The Guardian Online Community StandardsBasically lets try and keep it civil. Dave and Jeremy had a strict moderation policy and it seemed to keep the debate lively and on topic (ish). We won't be that full on, (unless we have to be) but the harsh moderation did keep things fairly on topic and certainly raised the tone of the comments. Lets try and keep that spirit going. Robust debate is fine, but if a thread turns into a flame war with no constructive value I'll lock it, and if posters go out of their way to be jerks, or nasty I'll suspend their account or ban them. If anyone threatens anyone else then they'll be banned as well. If stuff is obviously defamatory or over the top it'll probably have to go as well. The content will be deleted but not the poster. I'm new to all this so obviously things will adjust themselves as circumstances demand. So far there are no moderators but if we need them I'll ask for them. Cheers

Jules - something funny going on here. Sometimes there are ten or fifteen 'viewers' on-line but no members, and no comments. I realise there are snoopers, but why 12 or so at one time but no comments?
I'm not paranoid, but that doesn't mean they aren't watching us.

Wow - readership is increasing. 20 on-line now, and over 78 today.

Hey angra.
Sorry - I haven't been here for months.
Anyone can read this site. So if someone comes here to read but isn't a member, or is a member but hasn't logged on then they'll be called a viewer, or a guest.
Also google and other search engines have bots that scan websites to enable their search enbgines to work properly., I'm not sure if they show upo as named bots or as guests/viewers.
Does that help any?

Jules - re. sometimes lots of silent viewers. I think you're right, it may be bots, as it seems to occur at specific times of the day.
